The City of Gainesville recognizes the Medal of Honor Recipients by having the Parks & Recreation Department plant live red oak trees for each Recipient on their first visit to Gainesville. There will be a dedication of newly-planted trees on the Friday April 26th, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend this short program at Gainesville\u2019s Home Grown Hero Walking Trail.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
